The Pink Triangle

For two full weeks Illuminate's newest project shines brightly - and symbolically - above San Francisco's Twin Peaks.

Using nearly 3,000 pink LED nodes to create a massive pink triangle to celebrate LGBTQ pride and resilience, Illuminate has designed an iconic image now viewed worldwide.

The illuminated triangle, a shared effort with Patrick Carney who has installed a canvas triangle on Twin Peaks for the past 24 years, was officially lit by San Francisco Mayor London Breed on June 27. It will remain illuminated through the close of the International AIDS conference on July 10.

Check out this story in the San Francisco Chronicle’s Datebook and this KGO-TV broadcast following the dramatic lighting.
