Grand Lighting Celebration: WELCOME
The wondrous rainbow flag made up of massive lasers will again flood San Francisco’s Market Street on Friday, June 23 and will continue for 3 nights, ending Sunday.
Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi will flip the switch on WELCOME
This year, plans call for 12 lasers, double the number of last year’s installation, creating an even more vibrant rainbow flag. A pre-lighting event is also planned from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the base of the installation at Harry Bridges Plaza (near the Ferry Building).
A human pride flag of 120 Illuminate.org volunteers is planned as part of the festivities. Once darkness falls (estimated 9:15), Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi will turn on the laser space cannons.
