About the Lift Every Voice Series

The Lift Every Voice series is a yearlong series of free live music events in the Bandshell in Golden Gate Park, hosted by Illuminate.

Well over 100 concerts are scheduled, beginning in March with a full month of shows featuring all-women bands or women-led bands in celebration of International Women’s Month. The series kicked-off on March 2 with the extraordinary trio of Fo Fera, Essence, and Meredith Axelrod.

All events will take place at the refurbished Golden Gate Bandshell, which Illuminate fully renovated in 2020. The accessible, expanded stage is complemented by a new Meyer Sound system and state-of-the art lighting. The Bandshell now offers a premier experience for performers and fans.

The Lift Every Voice series is a partnership of Illuminate, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and the San Francisco Parks Alliance.
