Jillian Elliott

Chief Operating Officer

Art can connect us with something deep inside ourselves, but also with each other.

Jillian Elliott joined ILLUMINATE as Chief Operating Officer in June 2015 to help our team build our capacity to realize our vision of transformation through the creation of public art. She brings with her 25 years of nonprofit and for-profit leadership experience encompassing creative services, strategic direction, marketing, fundraising, and operations.

Most recently she was COO for California League of Conservation Voters. Over the course of her nonprofit career, she has been President of Foresight Institute, and Executive President for United Way of the Bay Area, where in addition to overseeing strategic planning and marketing, she was a pioneer in developing technology products for philanthropy. She directed development and operations of e-philanthropy for AOL Foundation’s Helping.org, renamed Network for Good, which has raised more than $1 billion online. In her consulting practice, she has provided strategic direction, marketing, and executive coaching to both private and nonprofit sector clients, as well as teaching courses in branding, marketing, and fundraising. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, and continues to pursue her passion for educational opportunities as both a student and teacher.
