2 Events to Welcome Naga to Golden Gate Park
🐉 A 100-foot sea serpent is coiling into place at Rainbow Falls, and the pond itself will be flowing again by the end of this week.
Behind the scenes, a women-led artist team, alongside a crew of dedicated volunteers, has been creating sublime magic in the heart of Golden Gate Park.
And you know what that means…
It’s time to welcome Naga in style!
We have 2 events planned to celebrate this new installation, take your pick or come to both:
🎉 WELCOME NAGA! Family-Friendly Celebration
What: Mermaid Parade, Landlubber Jibber-Jabber, Sea Shanties & More!
When: Saturday, July 26 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: Rainbow Falls Pond (near Crossover Drive), JFK Promenade, Golden Gate Park
Bring the kiddos, the doggos, the fun uncles, the mermaids, and yourself! Celebrate with music, mirth, and magical mayhem.
🧜♀️ Free temporary Naga tattoos for all sea creatures, double tattoos for mermaids!
🛼 Walk, bike, or skate, JFK is car-free and carefree.
🌙 NAGA GRAND LIGHTING – GROWN-UP EDITION
What: Music, Dancing, Illumination and Bubbles (from Naga’s nose!)
When: Monday, July 28 | 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Where: Rainbow Falls Pond (near Crossover Drive), JFK Promenade, Golden Gate Park
As twilight tiptoes in, Naga will shimmer to life. A countdown will build to a moment of collective awe. This will be a Grand Lighting to remember.
🎭 Come dressed as an illuminated sea creature—bring glow, glamour, gills, and glee. Add your light to this swirling act of pageantry under the stars.
