Illuminate will debut WELCOME on Friday June 27 with a Pride celebration at Embarcadero Plaza from 8-10pm.

🎇The celebration will be hosted by the iconic Sister Roma and will include music by DJ KURTYKA and drag performances by Rahni NothingMore & Per Sia.

Join us beneath R-Evolution, San Francisco’s newest (and largest) public exhibit, decked out in pride colors by Phil Spitler.

The unique 2025 set up of the laser space canons (affectionately called the GAYsers during pride weekend) will take a bit of fine tuning to get started. Our crew is aiming to get them shining as close to sunset as possible, and while they work hard to make the rainbow magic happen, we’ll be cheering them on while with a Pride Weekend kick off party that includes appearances by Dykes on Bikes delivering the legendary Rainbow Torch, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and VIP speakers.

Ready to get the party started early? Check out our sister event – Drag Me to Front St – a FREE block party on June 27, from 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm, kicking off Pride weekend just a few minutes down the road! Produced by the Downtown SF Partnership, this vibrant event will be co-hosted by SF drag icon Bobby Friday and legendary special guest Peaches Christ, featuring performances by Filipina diva Tila Pia and the oh-so-charming Major Hammy, plus a live DJ, street drinking, and a post-performance dance party. Attendees can RSVP for free to secure tickets and complimentary drag swag, with an optional $10 donation to support the world’s first legally recognized Transgender District in San Francisco.
